Thailand Requires New Single-Window Registration for BOI-Promoted Companies
Starting 1 August 2025, all companies granted investment privileges by Thailand’s Board of Investment (BOI) and using the Single Window electronic platform for work‑permit and visa applications must complete a fresh registration process. Even firms that already hold accounts in the system will be required to set up new user profiles under the updated security protocols.
Key Changes at a Glance
New Account Creation
Every BOI‑promoted company must register a brand‑new user account in the Single Window system. Existing logins will no longer be valid after the cut‑off date.Digital Identity Verification
– Thai nationals: ID authentication will be carried out through the government’s ThaID mobile app.
– Foreign representatives: Verification must be completed via the email address on file.Deadline
All registrations must be finalised by 31 July 2025 to guarantee uninterrupted access from 1 August onwards.
Why the Update Matters
Launched to streamline interactions between the BOI, Immigration Bureau and Department of Employment, the Single Window system has already reduced paperwork and accelerated processing times. The fresh registration requirement enhances data security by ensuring that every user is verified through the latest digital‑identity standards. For companies employing foreign experts, maintaining continuous access is vital to avoid delays in securing or renewing work permits and visas.
What Companies Should Do Now
Download and Install ThaID
Ensure that all Thai authorised representatives have the ThaID app installed on their smartphones, and complete the identity‑verification steps well before the July deadline.Confirm Contact Details
HR and compliance teams should verify that the BOI’s records include up‑to‑date email addresses for all foreign authorised users.Register Early
Log in to the Single Window portal in July, follow the prompts to create a new company account, and finalise both profile information and identity checks.Plan for Renewals
If you have pending work‑permit or visa applications due around August, schedule registrations and submissions to avoid any system‑access issues.
This change is part of Thailand’s effort to improve its immigration and investment processes. By moving fully online and adding stronger identity checks, the government protects businesses and makes the country more appealing to international talent and investors.
